devops-days-rockiesLast year I had the pleasure of making it to many different conferences, tradeshows, camps, and tech meetups. Hands down, my favorite events were always the DevOpsDays “un-conferences”. So much information is packed into only 2 days and at nearly half the cost of what you’d pay for some of the larger events, it’s affordable for just about anyone.

The very first one that I attended was DevOpsDays – Silicon Valley, hosted at the Computer History Museum in Mountain View California. Taking place on the heels of Velocity, it had a very large crowd and set the standard (for me) on what to expect from a DevOpsDays event.

Following that, I attended them in Minneapolis, Chicago, New York, and Boston and each time I attended one I kept thinking…we really need a DevOpsDays in the Front Range area. So, I decided to take the task on myself and begin the process of organizing a DevOpsDays event in my favorite tech region – the Rockies.

Denver, Boulder, and the surrounding cities are host to hundreds of amazing tech startups. The best and brightest in the tech field have been flocking to the Front Range from all over the country for quite some time now and as a result, the tech scene has exploded. Not only are there a lot of tech startups, but many big names have established locations nearby including Google, Twitter, Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, Cisco, Dish Network, and Seagate, just to name a few.

On April 23rd and 24th, Denver will play host to the first ever DevOpsDays Rockies event hosted at the Fortrust Data Center. As of Friday morning, the first round of speakers have been confirmed for this event. Additional speakers and information will be posted in the coming weeks.

VictorOps is thrilled to once again take part in DevOpsDays and of course, extra excited that this time it’s in our own backyard. Holding true to the DevOpsDays events held all around the world, the Rockies event promises to be an amazing 2-day experience for all participants.
